My name is Petra McAnuff and I guess I can no longer use the term “new diver” LOL but last year, I was. Last year, I went on a trip of a lifetime as a solo traveler with a group of incredible divers who were strangers to me until I landed on the beautiful island of St Lucia. This was my first ever NABS Summit. I met the first diver at the airport and it was like a family reunion until my last day. I had so much anxiety as a new diver going to Summit but from the first morning on the beach, I realized that everyone had my back. We had so much laughter and fun from day 1 to the last minute when I was boarding my flight, I never felt alone. I had direct supervision and guidance from each and every member of Aqua Corp looking out for me and they have built such confidence in me as a diver that I was able to go on other trips and felt secure in the knowledge that they have instilled in me. Aqua Corp Safety Officers tirelessly and selflessly to ensure that each and every member was safe during our divers. Brenda and Ruthie were available answer each and every question with compassionate and patience. At no time during my trip did I felt like a solo traveler.
